Fife Golf announces partnership with Shot Scope Technologies

20th February 2017

Fife Golf is delighted to announce their partnership with leadling golf technology providers, Shot Scope. Based in Edinburgh, Shotsope provide wearable performance tracking technology that allows golfers to analyse numerous aspects of the their game. The partnership will allow Shot Scope to contribute to Fife Golf’s goal of promoting training and professional development and bring performance tracking to the Fife golfing community.

David Hunter, CEO of Shot Scope, is thrilled with the partnership and speaks highly of the work done by Fife Golf. “The Scottish golf tourism industry is a fantastic community of districts which work together to make sure Scotland remains The Home of Golf. Partnering with Fife Golf allows us to work closely with some of the most prestigious courses in the country. We’re excited to see the product flourish in Fife and watch rounds coming in from such historical and aspirational courses. Getting Shot Scope onto the wrists of more golfers to improve their game is what we want to do, and Fife is, for us, one of the key hubs in the country which can help us achieve this.”

Liam Barn, Project Manager at Fife Golf Partnership, is similarly excited about the partnering between two innovative golfing brands in Scotland. “Bringing Shot Scope in as a partner was an easy decision. They are a Scottish company developing industry leading golf technology and the mutual benefits of working together were quickly apparent during discussions. They are a very welcome addition to the group of businesses we already work with and the relationship will further enhance the experience of visitors when enjoying the excellent variety of golf courses in Fife. Everyone at Fife Golf is looking forward to growing this great partnership and encouraging even more golfers to experience the fantastic courses we have here in the region.”

It is also fitting that Shot Scope was first used on the European Tour in Fife at the Dunhill Links by Scottish pro Jamie McLeary in October 2016. Fife has clearly been a key stage for Shot Scope’s launch and, as the business continues to grow, this partnership ensures that the business will remain involved in the area going forward. Fife Golf is a sponsor of the Ricoh Women’s British Open at Kingsbarns Golf Links in August.

Both organisations have worked closely with VisitScotland and Scottish Enterprise, both of whom have supported and pioneered innovation within the golf industry in Scotland for decades. Their support has been imperative to the success of both Shot Scope and Fife Golf, a success that will be further cemented by the partnership.
